The Company’s recent exports to Isthmian Trading Corporation in Panama, is a move towards the fulfilment of its goal, “to share the Swiss brand with the rest of the world”. Vemco is currently preparing to ship to Cuba in the coming months which has been a work in progress for the last four years.

With over 60 years of heritage in producing quality foods for the local and regional markets, the Swiss brand comprises Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Mustard, Peanut butter, BBQ sauce and a full range of Pastas. “Distributors across CARICOM and the wider regions can take advantage of our heritage, by strengthening their current portfolio with the Swiss brand” said Christopher Alcazar, Vemco’s CEO.

Alcazar intimated that “the T&T manufacturing sector is well positioned to generate much needed foreign exchange, at a time when our energy sector is in steep decline. We are therefore grateful to ExporTT for their role in helping us to connect with distributors in Panama. They made this link for us to be able to find the right partner in Panama. As the trade policy implementing agency of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), Export TT provided their expertise in market conditions, including trade margins and practices, import regulations, label requirements and several other key areas of market knowledge that they coached us on.”

Vemco’s current export markets include: St Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada, St. Kitts, Antigua, Dominica, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Belize, St. Martin, Suriname and USA (Miami, New York)
